• “Can I see you later? ‘Cause I can see you’re busy right now” = politeness!
• mouthing echoes of the fadeout outro
• the CG roulette wheel
• the lack of any mention of a specific movie, or even a genre
• “We can make it to be better than before”
• The line “Do your best” following instructions to “take a rest”
• The countdown / grooming schedule leading up to the 4:00 movie date, confirmed earlier in the day
• Forest backgrounds galore
• The map of Africa with Sudan highlighted — thanks!
• What the fuck kind of awesome car is that
• This is the second video of Bangs’ that I’ve seen that includes a closeup shot of him dialing his iPhone, but he was dialing a different area code earlier. Ohhh!
• The heavy emphasis on popcorn
• The lack of double entendres.
• “Take a step through the door / Be careful, don’t fall”
• “Watching a movie, so we can see what’s going on”
• that aHa! that denotes that he’s just pumped and confident about going to see a movie.
• This chromakeying job is really pretty good. And then it seems like it was edited by just layering all the takes/outfits and then cutting random chunks out, and same with the backgrounds. Respect.
• The part where he takes a breath while the vocal track is going, and the defocus when he’s asking if he can see me later (shit is not intentional)
• The absence of any theater-related images until 3:30
• Everything else
