That thing where you see an old man who looks like your stepdad, and you realize that your stepdad actually is an old man, now, somewhere, and is deserving of neither disgust nor fear anymore, and you’ll also be an old unfearable man someday, and you realize that not seeing you grow up is probably the saddest thing to ever happen to your stepdad.
